Ms Grace Chew

Ms Grace Chew has over 25 years of extensive experience in multiple facets of business management including sales and marketing, business development, project management, event management, customer service and relationship management with diversified industries such as urban mobility, aviation, energy, healthcare, automobile and hospitality. Recently Business Development Consultant of Volocopter GmbH, a leading worldwide urban mobility provider.  Creative, analytical and ambitious, and skilled in maintaining high quality service by establishing and aligning organizations standards. Goal-oriented with a passion for people development and leadership, and expert in identifying business opportunities, researching and analyzing sales options. Dedicated team player with a collaborative leadership style that fosters all-inclusive and diverse rich cultures. Multilingual proficiency in English, Mandarin and Malay/Bahasa Indonesia.

A PhD candidate in Business Administration with International School of Management (Paris/New York), an Executive MBA from University at Buffalo, State University of New York, and a BA in Mass Communications from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Her PhD research thesis is “Critical Success Factors of the Mergers and Acquisitions Performance: Interrelationship of Planning stage (Pre-merger) and Integration Process (Post-merger)”. 

Ms Chew Chiew Ean

Ms Chew Chiew Ean is an accountancy graduate with more than 18 years experience in finance and administration with listed companies in Malaysia. She is a member of Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

She graduated with a Bachelor of accounting from University of Malaya in 1993. She started her career as Assistant Accountant with Southern Steel Berhad for 3 years.

Later on, she advanced her career by joining Gamuda Berhad, one of the leading construction company listed in Bursa Kuala Lumpur in 1996 as Group Accountant. During her tenure in headquarter of Gamuda, her job functions included quarterly reporting to Bursa, coordinating group audit, liaising with bond agency and compiling group budget . She built up her confident level, inter-personnel skill and technical know-how over her years in Gamuda HQ.

In 2000, she was promoted as Finance Manager and seconded to its water division and be the pioneer in Gamuda's water division. She involved extensively in the listing exercise, bond restructuring, treasury as well as ISO of the company, Splash.

Chiew Ean last position was Senior Finance Manager before she left Gamuda Group in 2011 to pursue her interest in education industry.

Professor Ng Yew-Kwang

Advisor

Professor Ng Yew-Kwang obtained his BCom from Nanyang University in 1966, his PhD from Sydney University in 1971. He was a professor of economics at Monash University 1985-2012 (and an emeritus professor since 2013) and a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia since 1980. In 2007, he received the highest award (Distinguished Fellow) of the Economic Society of Australia. He joined Nanyang Technological University as Winsemius professor in economics since 2013.

He has published over two hundred refereed papers in leading journals in economics, including American Economic Review (7 papers), Economica (9), Economic Journal (6), Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Political Economy (3), Review of Economic Studies (2), Social Choice & Welfare (13), and in biology, cosmology, mathematics, philosophy, psychology, and sociology. Recent books: Common Mistakes in Economics, Nova, 2011 (open access): How Did the Universe Come About? Fudan University Press, 2011; The Road to Happiness, Fudan University Press, forthcoming in July 2013.
